Andre McGregor

TANIUM, INC | Director of Security

Andre McGregor is Tanium’s Director of Security responsible for cyber security protection and strategy. He possesses deep knowledge of cyber criminal and counter intelligence techniques used to attack computer networks and infrastructure.

Prior to joining Tanium, Andre served as a technically-trained FBI Cyber Special Agent in New York City before being promoted to Supervisory Special Agent at FBI Headquarters in Washington DC.  In his role at the FBI, Andre formed FBI New York’s first cyber national security squad focused on nation-state intrusions from China, Russia, and Iran while later supervising a squad dedicated to cyber terrorism. Andre is a certified cyber incident responder having led numerous large-scale computer intrusions ranging financial crimes to critical infrastructure protection. Additionally, Andre served for four years as the FBI Cyber Representative to the United Nations in charge of all UN-related cyber incidents and cases across the FBI as well as FBI Cyber Technical Liaison to DHS Cyber in Washington DC where he coordinated all FBI Cyber efforts for US-CERT and ICS-CERT.

Before entering the FBI Academy in 2009, Andre studied computer science and politics at Brown University. He started his professional career as an engineer at Goldman Sachs and later transitioned to IT Director at Advogent Group (formally Cardinal Health) where he was in charge of all network infrastructure, servers, workstations, user support, information security, IT staffing and technology budget across five states.

In his free time, Andre is currently the FBI and technical consultant for the TV show Mr. Robot.
